Effective Ways To Assist Incest, Child Sexual Abuse & Rape Survivors Live Ridiculously Happy Lives The most common helping technique to assist the individual sexual abuse survivor manage the emotional and psychological effects of being abused is individual counseling. While this approach can be helpful to some, it is prohibitive in time, money and cultural acceptance for many. These latter survivors, therefore, suffer in silence as the sexual abuse after effects continue to take their toll. This workshop will provide attendees opportunity to understand how the trauma of sexual abuse and sexual assault impacts childhood and adult life, reexamine the benefits of their current counseling/helping strategies, and learn a different paradigm to helping adult sexual abuse survivors.
